$1.25 million dollars for the Plaintiff
On February 28, 2014, a jury in the 13th Judicial Circuit of LaSalle County returned a verdict for a Plaintiff in excess of $1.25 Million Dollars. The Plaintiff was represented by The Cantlin Law Firm with offices in Ottawa and Earlville.
On December 31, 2010, the Plaintiff sustained personal injuries while assisting a corporation in the processing of feeder steers. The Plaintiff was struck by a steer when the Defendant removed a gate that was designed to prevent steers from gaining entrance into the area the Plaintiff was working in.
The Plaintiff pursued a lawsuit against the corporation wherein both liability and damages were contested. On February 28, 2014, at the conclusion of a week-long trial, the jury found the corporation liable, and rendered a verdict in excess of $1.25 million dollars for the Plaintiff.
In the trial, John L. Cantlin, Timothy B. Cantlin, and Megan K. Cantlin of The Cantlin Law Firm represented the Plaintiff.
